Ah, it is the leasure battery. Nothing to do with the vehicle battery then?
Silly me. Do you know how to check the engine battery to see if it is still in good working order?

Check the type of starter battery you have as there are a large number of faulty MOLL batteries that VW will change out under warranty.Photo take about 30 minutes ago.

They were on the T6 I believe. If the OP’s details are correct he has a T5.Check the type of starter battery you have as there are a large number of faulty MOLL batteries that VW will change out under warranty.

Here's a live pic of mine.
If you’ve charged it, it’s worth a trip down to Halfords and get them to do a battery check just to confirm that it’s duff. I thought I had a dodgy battery and they checked it and said it was fine.
I´d go for another 85Ah
The van may be bluemotion and setup for a AGM battery, is the blue one AGM?
I personally would try the spare battery, or use jump leads with another vehicle
