Bed Extension Support Arm

Hi all.

Was wondering if anyone could help me with finding a solution to an issue where the rubber grommet holding the bed extension support arm (item no 32 on the attached parts diagram) has sheared off and therefore the arm falls out of the hole (not the end of the world but abit annoying!)

Tempted to go back to VW but I’m not sure it will be covered under warranty.

Pretty sure I could find an electrical rubber grommet replacement from somewhere but not sure how to get it into the hole along with the arm.

Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if they found a fix.

Open Grommets - OPG016

This should do the trick.

Either that or OPG012, I can't remember which one I used when I was doing my wee chaise longue/second strut mod.

Very simple to replace. Put the grommet in the hole first then slide the end of the strut through the hole in the grommet. A little bit of silicone grease can help if you need it.
