Beginner's help sat nav GPS advice

We are just planning a trip through France next month and have joined the France Passion membership. I am not sure how the GPS coordinates work with the built in %10 sat nav in the current Cali? There is a list of makes like Garmin and TomTom but not the VW system by name...can anyone give me a pointer on which system it is using etc? Cheers

The system in the RNS 510 VW Satnav is provided by Navtech I believe

They use Navtech mapping running on VWs own satnav software.

Are you trying to get the coordinates to show up as pois ?? They need to be in .asci file format.
Check in the downloads section there is a document explaining how to load spped camera database to RNS510. This can be used to load any database in the .asci file format. At a guess you will have to edit the sites downloadable database to get it to .asci format.
