Bendy light bulb replacement. 2010 T5.1 SE

Hi all,

My bulb has gone on my bendy light and I really don't want to fork-out £100+ for a LED replacement. Has anyone successfully changed the halogen bulb before? If so, where did you get the replacement from and how do you get the old one out?

This bulb from Osram fitted. Tight fit, need to push bulb through collar.

Osram LED T4W (233) 1w 12v Warm White 4000K Bulbs

I changed mine for the Osram as @WelshGas mentioned. If you order one make sure you get the one shown as they also sell one with a 12v plug rather than a permanent fit.

If replacing the bulb is your goal (and not the entire light):

I have just replaced ours with the bulb shown below. Its 4W in stead of the 5W of the original, but works just fine.

Just wondering where the on/off switch is. And is it as long as the original?

The switch is integral to the light, located on the back of the diffuser/bulb. So you pinch the light between your fingers to toggle it on/off. Not the best switch but it works!
The overall length is, if I recall shorter than original and is far less bulky.
