Obviously no one has checked the mobile centre link above. 4 versions of the Osram Copilot LED lamp, plug in, and 3 hardwired with 10, 20 and 50 cm arms. Also UK site well used by Land Rover Defender owners.

Hi Matt. There was plenty of wire, so I unscrewed the mounting plate and taped the wire to the bulkhead before cutting it. Fitted new connector suitable to go through hole in bulkhead before removing tape. Regards

Great thinking, was focused on getting the large connector out but that's a great solution.
Now to find the right fuse to take out!!

I carefully squared off the hole with a flat needle file to get the connector out. Didn't need a lot and the mounting plate still covers it.
