"Bike Porn"-your rides and how/where you use them

I’m way out of my depth here but, having sold my dad’s 1950s bikes (all 10 of them), I’ve now bought my own: a hybrid Trek and just added a trek ebike!
What a palava getting a towbar and rack to take an ebike and also to fold down to allow the back door to swing up!
And then there was the insurance!
And now I find myself in a site but can’t lock my bike to the rack cos the d ring’s too small!

I also can’t remember how to lock my van doors without the alarm going off! So all in all, I’m fair game tonight….with just my personal alarm to hand!

I’ve now done 30 miles and my bike has done what I wanted it for: transport and sightseeing.

I’m not convinced it’s worth the hassle of taking it abroad though….
At the mo, I’m loving taking photos of it in the places I visit…..here’s me too in Pennan outside the Local Hero phone box! It had to be done! And more importantly, I zoomed back up the hill in turbo….laughing all the way!

Very nice (and presumably very pricey). Just read that they are Canadian, don't know why but I thought they were Italian.

My Super73 RX Mojave. Changed tires to the 4.5 by 20’s from the original Grizzly 5 by 20’s. Easier to mount on a Thule Epos rack, better efficiency and still great off-road and more so in the city cruising. Love this bike!

£1950 in the Sigma sale so in today's money a outright bargain. RRP £3100 ish

27 miles around SE and East London, crossing the Thames at the Woolwich Foot Tunnel and Tower Bridge.

North of the river ~90% motor traffic free. South of the river ~30% motor traffic free.

Faced with a scone dilemma I found a reasonable solution.

Did my local away from home loop the other day and GrannyJen popped up on the feed having beaten me up the climb by 37seconds!

Will dust off the road bike for another attempt!

If I race down to the Greenwich peninsula after dropping off the boys at school I am sometimes just in time to cross the Thames on the cable car for free - usually £6. (Cyclists travel free before 9.30am Monday to Friday).

I was delighted to learn that I achieved a personal best time on Strava, doing absolutely nothing for 9 minutes 37 seconds.

I was shocked to learn that this was nowhere near the world record crossing of the Thames which is 4:24. My effort only ranks at 539.

I shall have to try to find some way to sway a bit faster across next time.

At least the view from above is good.

Lefty besty…

Deposit placed on one of these. Delivery expected in March just in time for my first tour of the season. Was debating getting an e-bike but this was just too good and practical for campervaning.
