You have no bike rack James ,so you cannot have a bike ... Lol ;-)

I'm not a fan of them. They look like they're manual.

I love a good bike build ,as my last is a shop build with my input in it ,but I think you get more out of it choosing all the components etc :) ..
( or am I being boring ) ????

It's good fun and nice to have full control over what you fit, but it's not a very cost effective way of doing things. Also, I accidentally made my bike look like a zebra, which I'm sure a manufacturer would have avoided doing.

It's probably very boring if you don't like bikes though.

This a bike thread TOTF ,so if I used my Cali for twitching I would be on the twitching thread or start one ....and before u ask no I wouldn't be commenting on it good or bad as I'm not a twitcher ... Lol :)

I must admit though for what I got I couldn't of ever got off the shelf anyway ,so yes we pay a slight premium for something different :)

I can't work out what totf means :D

Anyway, twitching from the Cali (Sorry it's a T4 Cali, I'm aware that not everyone finds driving a rustbucket interesting)

Not sure if the camera was on manual or auto...

Least I suppose we're back talking about bikes ,as the thread suggests :) lol

Re: "Bike Porn"-your rides and how/where you use them

Lol ... You better stick to the twitching then grandad if the thought of bashing out a few miles on a bike through the countryside is making you tired ... Lol lol :)

I realise James is taking the mickey here, but...

Interestingly (or perhaps, geekily, Sidepod will award me another bobble hat for this for sure) there was an AWD mountain bike made.

If I remember correctly, it used driveshafts to get power to the front wheel.

Yes, here we go: http://www.christinibicycles.com/tech-about.php

Lee

just a quick question about bikes

What do you think is better - a more manual form of gear change or something that is a bit more automatic?

James

That AWD bike is interesting.

Most car manufacturers supply a bike with their own branding on of some sort. Pretty sure BMW did a road bike as well and it seemed very expensive and if I remember correctly had an ///M badge on it as well.

cheers
