And an Islabike Rothan balance bike. I think that's it!

Re: Bike Porn " members rides "

Litespeed Archon titanium
Airborne Manhatton titanium
Colnago C40 carbon
Marin Team titanium hard tail
Marin Mount Vision

Winter project could be building a Colnago C59, if I can get a good deal on a frame and fork.

Some sweet rides...

Haven't been riding much recently and looking much fatter for it. Need to get back on 2 wheels.

My Cotic Soul. Reba Teams (bolt through) and kitted out with Hope, XT and Thomson. Is a fantastical thing.

DSC04720.jpg

Had an On-One Inbred for a while (was a quick build after I wrote off my Orange P7), but it was too small for me. Great commuter bike though with rigid carbon forks and single speed setup (my commute then was 10 miles, 9 of them off road). It's now the Mrs' bike with a set of cheap RS coil shocks and some gears. Need to change the brakes from Vs to disks. Have the brakes, but not the wheels.

DSCN5844.jpg

Also have an Allez, but haven't riden that for many years. Used to be my winter road commuter.

Hi Lee
No pm received!

Re: Bike Porn " members rides "

The story behind the Inbred goes like this.

Birthday weekend. Lots of beer. Not much sleep.
Monday morning commute. Hungover and tired.
Jump.
Land in Watford General Hospital.
Forks knackered and being from that odd era around '96 maybe, had 1" steerer, so hard to replace.
Bought cheap frame and v-brake compatible forks.

RIP Orange P7. 1996-2010. Miss you!

Re: Bike Porn " members rides "

I ride the following road bikes:

Orbea Aqua
Orbea Onyx
Time ZXRS

and have a Ghost hard tail mountain bike which is good fun too!

Will be getting rid of the Aqua as surplus to requirements and used to be my winter bike which the Onyx will be instead.

Will post a picture of the Time once wheels are sorted out for good.

cheers

Re: Bike Porn " members rides "

We have a fair collection , the legacy of competitive triathlon wife and adventure racing me.
Santa Cruz Tallboy LT carbon full xtr for riding around on
Santa Cruz Tallboy alloy xt/xtr enve wheels setup for long races
Yes we were sponsored by sc thankfully !
Serotta tiMax 29er hard tail with x0
Seven custom Cx bike
Kona explosif singlespeed from 1989 my first race bike
Ropey specialised TT bike I used on Coast to Coast
Keewee carbon roadie with ultegra and 12000kms on the speedo !
Wife has a carbon Tallboy, stumpy elite and 2 road bikes.
Crikey wee need to get all this back to the uk next year !

Some sweet bikes so far, I always say that the optimum number is n+1 where n is how many you have now....

Re: Bike Porn " members rides "

On the theory that you can never have to many bikes my stable consists of

Summer 'race' bike
Cervelo R3, built up with mostly Dura Ace originally but with now mixture Dura Ace/Ultegra.
Had this one for many years now but its still a great ride.

Triathlon / TT bike
Cervelo P2c, Ultegra groupset, 80mm Fulcrum wheels.
Doesn't get used as much as it should but on the right course is defiantly faster than the R3. Surprisingly comfortable as well.

Mountain Bike
Yeti 575, XT/Raceface drivetrain & Pace forks. Quite old this one but still a great ride and more of an all rounder XC ride than the current 575s

Winter Bike (mudguards!)
Kinesis Racelight T built up with all the bits that get cascaded down from the others.

Commute & do everything bike
Genesis Croix de Fer. Got this one on the cycle to work scheme and must be one of the few people who actually uses their bike to cycle to work. Its a great fun bike off road as well if a little on the heavy side.

Will try and find some photos this eve.

Re: Bike Porn " members rides "

I counted and we have 9 bikes in the garage at the moment...

Main bikes are Cyclocross merida and trek 6000 mtb.

Looking for a 29 inch hard tail mtb at the moment. Recomendations welcome.

Similar taste in bikes! I got the Soul 3 (tapered head tube) but did had a straight steerer SID 100mm fork - okay but a bit flexy. Upgraded to a Fox Float FIT 120mm tapered with 15mm Maxle and the difference is huge - also meant I could bin the obnoxious remote Poplok lock out which was AWFUL! It literally is now my perfect bike but it's cost me far too much...! It was once a new complete 2007 Stumpjumper Comp - I replaced the final original part (stem top cap) when I replaced the forks!

Silverfox - PHWOAARR!!!

Owen - also PHWOOAARR!

Is that the same Reynolds (the wheels) that made my frame tubing?! Never knew they did rims! Looks like a useful bike.

Re: Bike Porn " members rides "

Found a couple of photos:
6ehyrypy.jpg

The R3 on top of one of the toughest climbs I've done for steepness.

Yasmin Yeti in India

P2 in long dist tri mode.

There are some great bikes appearing in this thread.

Re: Bike Porn " members rides "

If any of you come down here on holiday, pack an MTB - we have a brilliant new trail centre that's properly challenging plus some very good natural routes too.

Re: Bike Porn " members rides "

Holy Moly!!

My fairly recent cycling revival stable looks much more 'retail' and stock than this lot!

Started with a Boardman mtb HT pro (2009) (100mm Reba sl, SRAM x0) - my commute / winter / Cali bike but was my trail bike initially. I have a couple of wheel sets for this one, off-road and towpath/road

The trails getting rougher and steeper, plus a fair chunk of bike jealousy led to my off-road bike upgrade to a Specialised Stumpjumper FSR Comp (2012)

And this year, after a few years of watching road cycling, I finally caved and decided to see what it was like, so bought a road bike. Didn't want to spend loads, and knew it wouldn't get serious so wanted something comfy, but because my boardman is fairly light, I wanted the road bike to be lighter :D so I now also have a mid-range Trek Domane.

The best thing about having a few bikes and bike types, as I have now discovered, is riding the different disciplines helps with the others and riding one bike makes getting back on another more fun! Should have bought loads of bikes years ago ;)

Re: Bike Porn " members rides "

you lot are throwing in some big gun bikes now and deffo " Bike Porn " :bananadance

i'm not sure mine are up to some of these lush bikes ,so i may have to get a pro photographer and sort out some air brushing ... :laugh2

Not sure?? They are full carbon though. And the bike is very quick and light. Rolls like a 29 but the chassis is short enough to handle like a 26. I love it
