"Bike Porn"-your rides and how/where you use them

Leam bike park was/is running very fast today!!
Blue line with the big berms, first time I’ve carried enough speed to clear the two doubles at the bottom. :cheers

Just back from a trip to Green Hill and Willingen in Germany.
Absolutely mega bike parks. Very well built and maintained. Jump lines are awesome.
Recommended. 6hrs from Calais.
We used the Knauss campsite on Hennetelsperre.
Popped into to see the Mohne dam on the way home.

Nice evening. Thought I’d give the DH rig a buff.

That's a serious piece of kit. Chatting up with one of the downhill team mechanics at fort William - those front forks take a hammering in just one downhill run and the internals are seriously impressive.

Enjoy!

My two boys trialling a brand new type of tandem. It can be piloted from either the front or rear (needs a mechanic to switch), and either rider can freewheel or pedal. Belt driven.

Cost: €5,750 for the basic model. Extra for Rohloff gears, luggage rack front, luggage rack rear, electric motor.

We have 2 of these beauties - incredibly comfortable with 5 different assist options and range of 110 miles in Eco and around 60 in full sport (just a gentle push and your up to 15mph). So easy to ride and light for an electric bike at about 22.5kg. Takes me about 15 mins to fit onto our Atera Genio carrier. SWMBO likes the idea she can now go up hills!!!! Only worry is they are thief magnets so we cover over them when parked up so looks ike normal bikes. 3 thick cable locks and audible alarm!!

Do any of you guys use a Thule Velospace XT3? Can anyone tell me if the overall vehicle length (assuming handlebars are turned) is under 6m when it is on a T6.1 with three bikes loaded.

Not sure about the Thule but the Atera Genio I have is 590mm from centre of tow ball so would easily be under 6m on a T6.1. The Atera Strada DL3 for 3 bikes is also only 700mm to centre of ball so also well under 6m. Both allow tailgate to open with bikes on them.

Thanks, very useful.

Trying to book Norwegian ferries but we won't get the bike rack until just before we go. I'll going to say its under 6m.

No problem. I've just booked the ferry from Cairnryan to Larne using the CAMC discount and all it said was rear cycle carrier yes or no! Booked for £377 return.

One of the (many) use cases for our cali was to enable me to get further afield for Audax events, 200km+ rides that typically start quite early. Here we are almost ready for last weekends' ride starting from Hailsham.

Hello fellow Audaxer! Yeah, makes a nice base van. Have done Audaxes starting near York. Drive up the previous night, sleep in the van. Up and about bright and early with zero overheads. Yeah!

I’m in the market for a couple of e-bikes so I’ll check these out. Have been looking at Cube Kathmandu which I like but not sure about the weight. Was also thinking of Raleigh….

Nice one! Yes I have used the search4sites app a couple of times now for pub car park stays near the start. Certainly makes a difference vs. early morning wake and hour plus drive before starting a ride!
