Bike Rack (for two bikes only)

Hi all,

Our T5 has a towing hook (e.g. for a trailer).
Is anyone using one of those Thule bike racks that you can "fold down" or "fold away downward" so the trunk can be opened without taking the bikes off?

We've researched this quite a lot. We weren't reassured that the Thule rack would allow the boot (trunk) lid to clear either it or the nearest bike. Several members say that the Atera Strada is the only option, as it slides away and tilts.

However, we are going to try the Witter 2-bike rack, as their technical guy Fabien goes to all the shows and has spent a bit of time with us on the phone. He says that it will clear the bikes and even if it does foul, he can advise the fitter how to make a 'minor' tweak that will enable it to.

Hi!

I have a Thule Euro-Classic G6 928 2-bike carrier, and it tilts sufficiently to allow the tailgate to open. I've mounted both my 29er MTB, which wide handlebars and my Heavy Touring bike, with wide pedals.... And both are fine, in the inside track.
