Evening Everyone. Has anyone used a swing action bike rack capable of handing an E Bike that weighs around 40Kgs? I am considering the Rocky Mounts swing away unit. https://rockymounts.com.au/collections/hitch-racks/products/backstage . Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Firstly you would need a 2" hitch receiver that is Type Approved. Not sure there is one for the Transporter/California.
Secondly the carrier you mentioned will carry upto 2 bikes of 60 lbs each, approximately 50kgms in total. So, although the carrier could carry the total weight an individual bike of 40kgms, if correct, then No.
