Bikes inside GC600

Hi. Pondering a larger van, with facilities. Is is OK to drive the GC600 with the centre part of the bed tilted up, and strapped in place please? Wondering is we could transport 2 bikes inside while travelling. Adding a tow bar rack would add a lot to the length. Thanks.

Vw say not to travel with the bed in the upright position, guess due to the pressure on the straps.

Take the bikes’ front wheels off and you can travel with the bed down. The floor-mounted bike carriers typically require front wheel off anyway

Where would you position the bikes, please? Fix to floor between shower room and bed?

Under the bed and use something like this to hold the forks (with front wheel removed) firmly in place. You could attach the bracket directly to the floor with Velcro tape for example, or attach it to a small sheet of ply sitting on top of your floor

If using Velcro tape, you probably would need to pad bags around the bikes to be on the safe side of the risk of them falling over under sharp turns

Thanks. I used one of those claps in the California seat rails, need one for thru axle bike now.
