We have just returned from a 3 month trip with 'Dobby' (Our 'free-elf' cali, named by one of our daughters
)
A few days in to the trip we stumbled across the EuroVelo 6 cycle route which extends over 3,600 kms and across 10 countries from the Atlantic (Nantes) through Budapest to the black sea. We did a few sections of this using the Cali as a 'moving base' and completing a series of 'there and back again' day cycles. (which did mean we had to complete everything twice) - but highly recommended. I have blogged a bit here http://awaywandering.blogspot.co.uk/2013/10/dipping-into-danube.html
Then we headed to Croatia for some sea kayaking http://awaywandering.blogspot.co.uk/2013/10/back-to-croatia.html
Great fun
