Looking to add little blind spot mirrors to both my side mirrors, like on my moto.

For LHD, is the best location area #1, 2, 3, or 4, and why?

Thanks

My T6 had this wide angle glass fitted as standard.

A big issue then this is a solution. No heater so gets water globules during rain.

The replacement mirror is good for close in, but how is it for seeing distance, like in a highway?

Distance is OK, close can be a problem as if you try to set it wide the actual mirror housing edge restricts the view. If you look at your photo its the area left of 1 & 4 .

Problem that I previously found with the little stick mirrors was due to how far away they are on your passenger side that it wasn't possible to actually see much at a glance. OK at arms length on your Moto.

I had them on my Defender in position #3 and worked well, but closer proximity than the van.

I more want for drivers side for merging - just to see if something is there

Not used but look like would be a better view than a circular type.

I am not sure of the benefit - wouldn’t fitting them on the mirrors in any of those positions reduce the standard field of view, which in turn would offset any small gains? Tbh I find the van mirrors are the best I have ever used on any vehicle (including bikes), plus you have very effective blind spot warning lights on the T6.1.
