Broken fridge hinge

I'd keep trying, I bought some from heimworker and they were indisquishable from the ones in the van, real shame they no longer stock them as worked out less than £30 for 2 even after postage. There is at least one supplier I can see that only sells to the trade so if you know anyone with their own business you could see if they would set up an account and order some for you.

Just checked heimworker and they have them in brass, for a £40 saving per hinge if it were me I'd live with the mismatch, might even replace both sides and keep the silver one as spare!

Great work Louis ll! I am really not fussed re the colour. Could you possibly send me a link to the item on Heimworker- I was going through their customer service and they weren't very clued up.

Well the silver ones were illustrated but not available as an option so I have ordered 2 x nickel plated for a total including shipping of £26. Good outcome, thanks to others for the help and guidance.

Yes the hinges arrived fine, within a week, and they were the silver coloured ones, identical to the original and very easy to fit.

If you buy the brass coloured ones then you can swop them for the hinges on the back cupboard.. You cant see what colour they are...

Be careful when fitting new hinges. We had a new fridge lid fitted. In the process the dealer sheared off one of the fixing bolts. They are stainless steel, going into aluminium, so the dealer said they couldn't drill it to remove it, and an over sized bolt would not be an option.
Result - they had to fit a complete new kitchen unit. To do this they had to remove virtually everything The bed ,the wardrobe, the water system, the gas system.You can imagine what the bill would be for doing that. So be careful when tightening those bolts!
