Well I've read the whole thread & cant work out which of the suggestions you followed.

So how did you get the cap off?

I most certainly wasn't. have you tried jumping from thread to thread when you can barely see the post numbers on an I phone.
The post numbers will all get changed anyway when threads get merged.

Typing "drilled it" would have been far quicker & far more helpful
