Bungee strap

When we put our roof up for the first time this year we noticed that the bungee strap purchased last year has lost its elasticity. Am wondering if it is because I left it on over the winter or whether it is just a 'duff one'. Before I buy a new one thought I would check to see if anyone else has had a similar problem. TVM

We had a small issue last year with the bungee mainly from being in hot climates we have now changed Supplier.
