buying and selling

Just sold our cali but still hooked on lurking the forum. I miss it already and may buy another one later.
Anyway, we bought ours from West Yorkshire Van centre at a great price and the guy was good to deal with.
Handover was about 20 minutes as they did not have a specialist there. Did not matter as we had hired one and I had scoured forums for knowledge well beforehand.
The interesting part is when we came to trade in, as we initially thought to buy a new one that was automatic (physically a lot easier for both of us)
Best trade in offer from Justin at Listers Coventry closely followed by SMG.
No reply (after 3 prompts) from JCT 600, York!
No Reply from Manchester.
Most disappointing response was from West Yorkshire Van centre who now have a specialist centre.
The only way I can describe the figure is: 'greedy'.
If we buy again I would go to Listers.
Selling brought a mixed response.
One person posted a long request on my for 'sale' page and then did not have the courtesy to reply to my phone call or pm
One expression of interest from someone who lives close. He did not mention price or any details but made a date to look.
I emailed him and said that I would be delighted to have a coffee and a long chat about cali's (like most owners) but would only do the full trip if he was really serious. We fixed a day and...he did not come. He apologised profusely and made another appointment which he ignored.
Telephoned to say sorry but he had just got a job abroad and he had to pull out!
Then dealt with two really nice guys who were keen and I offered it to the first one who called, who then bought it.
Their conduct made the end of the process good after a dodgy start.

I also advertised it on eBay as a classified sale.
It had 30+ watchers. Most of whom contacted me after I removed it. I can only assume they were waiting until the listing ended, hoping we may be keen to sell at a lower price.

I guess everyone here knows that this forum is the best place for selling :D
