I,, VW Technical support in DE, Breeze dealers in Poole and many people here have failed to get it work. It gets to a certain stage then repeatedly says “connection lost”. So the straight answer is No. Very sorry. However, although it’s a “nice to have” if it works, it’s not an “essential”.

It works for me but it’s unreliable. Random disconnects but usually (but not always) reconnects. Very short range - you have to be in the van, even walking around the van whilst popping up the roof can cause it to disconnect.

I have wireless Car Play disconnected as that messed it up completely. Although not essential I think I would find myself using it a lot if it was more reliable

I've got it working, but as Apps go, its not great....

Persevere. Had many connections failed then either downloaded app again or updated phone (cannot remember which) and Works fine for me.
NB your T6.1 must have the WiFi button on the dash for this to work.


The range is very short ( a few feet from van) but handy for opening and closing roof while observing progress from outside.
Rest of van ops other than interior lights seems a bit pointless when you can just sit in van and operate from control panel.
