Bristol traffic is still terrible but the move away from the car has been dramatic.

Figures under Transport are worth a read and show how quickly things can change with the right policies.

I wonder how many of the Children, taking time off from school, to protest about Pollution and Climate Change actually cycle, walk or use Public Transport.
Around here, over 50% at the local comprehensive use cars, 40% School Buses or Public Transport and the rest walk/cycle, and then they complain.

Maybe it's just the 40% using public transport who are attending the protests? you could always take an exit poll given that you're compiling these local statistics anyway.
