Ordered a new joker from Rob at Campersales, a very long time ago and just wanted to write a little review.

So the van took a very long time to come, Rob said it’s the longest a van has taken.
This wasn’t down to Campersales, as it’s out of there control once they place order.
Lots of crap happening in the world, and having to two manufacturers VW and westfalia will always slow things up too.

After the original 12mth order lapsed I would ping Rob an email once a month chasing for an update, he always responded.
Great communication even if it was nothing new (I probably drove him a little crazy).

When the van arrived WOW very speedy work on Campersales, I managed to get it within 13days of hitting there showroom.
They had to check everything, register van with DVLA, send it to VW for PDI (they even paid extra to get this done at a different dealer to speed it up), and do a few little jobs solar prep extra 12v socket etc.
All done in 12days!

Then finally on the day of collection I turn up with new wheels will no TPMS (doh!), didn’t realise my van came with them.
After a little chat sensors removed from original wheels and fitted into my OZ.
Richard there mechanic was amazing explaining changes on new van and sorting/fitting wheels sensors.

I am not normally a fan of car/van sales people and use to always buy private.
Rob and the team at Campersales were fantastic and I can be very difficult customer to please!

Would I use them again, yes

Are there any subtle improvements over you old one @4x4 joker ? Ignoring the driving side of the T6.1

The main reason is, I’ve always had 2nd hand vans even my calis so getting the chance to spec and have built my own van was a real treat.

My new van has soft close sliding door/boot (as i spec it), most jokers have it just my old one didn’t.
The drawer catches are better positive lock type, so less likely to come open whilst driving.
The wardrobe door is much longer.
They’re removed the silly storage in sliding door if stuff was poking out then you could mark van when opening.
The lower bed is a better design/easier to set up, but it’s harder to access the storage area underneath (old one had bum base bit that lifted up and tonnes of storage).
Upper bed mattress has an extra fold in it to make it easier to push back closed.
Have noticed that the little vent slits are missing on all the dometic window (sort of a trickle vent).

I think alot of these changes are on both vans campersales has, my T6 was one of the first after the t5.1.

The joker habitation side is like the Cali why change something that works well.

One thing I noticed was the H7 headlights are way better than the T6 ones (couldn’t be any worse!), I was going to swap them out for xenon’s but may not bother.
I didn’t want LED, easy to carry a replacement h7 bulb and replace yourself.

The amount of LED stuff that use to fail in downlighting I fitted which came with 10yr guarantee just puts me off. They do look great and are super bright (just personal preference).

We purchased from Rob in Sept 2020, always helpful. Small amount of warranty work carried out with no quibbles.
Would recommend Rob and his small team.
Having an owner activity involved in the day to day running is a massive bonus.
