Can we stop the automatic watching of a thread?

Whenever I write or answer something in a thread, that thread is automatically rated as 'watched' by me, and I suddenly get e-mails when someone else writes something in that thread. I do no really want to receive all those e-mails.
Could we make that a preference? "Do not mark threads 'watched' when I write in them" or something?

Now I have to go to the thread, mark it 'unwatch' and next time I write something in it is is 'watched' again, and there the e-mails come again, etc....

You can change this in your personal settings so you no longer receive these emails.
