caravan and camping show

Just got back from a day at the caravan and camping show.
Had a look around all the vw conversions which confirms 100% we made the right choice as nothing comes close.
The only cali there was one being used to show off kyham drive away side and rear awnings.
Bought some new Thule go boxes (collapsible waterproof storage box)for storage under the rear shelf, and some new unbreakable plates / bowls ( we will see).
Met Kate Humble and the bloke on sky who presents the caravan show
nothing much to write about though
much preferred the motorhome show in october.

The motorhome and caravan show is on at the NEC in Oct 2013. Is it worth going to? Van is on order but still months away and we were thinking of going just to get an idea of the kind of stuff we would want to put in the van.

Might go through on the Saturday however its nearly three hours doubled over in a Fait 500 (smashing little car but the "chunky" gentleman will find it a squeeze). New van still months away and the "big" car traded in. :crazy
Still planning to go though.

it's gonna be a long 7 1/2 hours to NEC on the mega bus for us from Scotland but need to be sure that Cali is the right choice before taking the plunge. Have had hours of fun researching all the fab info on this site. :crazy

Hi all

Our van is also on order (natural grey, bike rack, roof rack, camping and driver packs, tow bar 180 SE, plus some other bits and pieces). Due later this month or early next, so excited!

We also plan to go to the show to look at awnings and accessories, plus friends of our said they got two free nights when joining the camping and caravan club at the show in Feb so that might be worth checking out. We also thought there might be good prices for the electrical cables we need, and perhaps the levelling ramps. Might have to go on the Sunday though...

Would love to see the Comfortz Leisure awning panels - does anyone know if they will be at the show? They are a serious consideration for us but quite an investment so would love to see them before buying. We are in Oxford, so B'ham not too far a trip for us.

Maybe meet some of you there? Only joined forum yesterday but have been an avid reader since we ordered our Cali in July!
