CarPlay Status Bar

I'm sure I read on here that it's possible to move the status bar from the right to the left of the screen on the stereo. I can't find the post and no answer on Google which works with VW. Was I making it up?

I think it will be easier to see the clock with it on the left

I think it was discussed but is fixed depending on LHD or RHD vehicle. Came up in a discussion on Waze IIRC.

Maybe if I change the car to a European country on Carista it will move?

Aus gives you the large MPH display, you could change it to germany and see if it swaps and change back without any hassle apart from needing to reselect digital speed in the mfd to get the large MPH display back.

The CarPlay shortcut controls can be changed from left to right for sure.

I only have aftermarket units, one Kenwood and one Pioneer and it’s changed using the interface on the stereo.

Assuming you have the VW unit, my guess would be it would change either the car coding (as the vechicle would know if it was right or let hand drive) so doubt it can be done on the unit itself.
