Hello,

We are having problems with CG600 habitation control panel and Truma control panel - both dead and not turning on at all - and would appreciate help.

More info:
-the habitation lights and fridge work well
-we recently changed the leisure battery (AGM) and the control panel worked fine afterwards for a while, but has been not used for a week
-hooking up / charging through shore power does not fix the issue
-reset through battery isolation switch (waited 15min) did not fix the issue

I read in a previous post that the wires might be disconnected under the drivers seat, but could see anything obvious myself (didn’t take anything apart).

ChatGPT suggested a spesific fuse problem. Is this something that can be easily fixed by oneself? I haven’t been able to find info on where this control panel specific fuse is located.

Any other suggestions?

Just noticed that one fuse spot is empty (photo attached, fuse S3?).

Not sure if this has anything to do with the issue, though.
Haven’t paid attention to this before, maybe this has been always empty, or was taken out during the battery change (althoug the control panel worked well afterwards when I checked it).

Update: I took it to the dealer (we just bought the camper a week ago), and the SJ3 fuse was blown and changed, and panels now working again.

I’m a bit concerned they couldn’t give me a reason for the blown fuse: just told me to contact them if it happens again, and they’ll look at the wiring etc..

They also changed the fuse from 1A to 5A, and told me that the original 1A is too low for both panels. However, in the PDF above the nominal value for SJ3 is 1A, so I’m confused why Vw uses the 1A then.

To give some context, the GC600 is a slightly used 2022 model with a good service history, bought from a large reputable camper van dealer. I’m wondering how worried I should be that there was this kind of problems in our first week!?! By law, the dealer is responsible for possible hidden issues for six months after the purchase.

Any thought would be greatly appreciated!

The Consumer Rights Act gives you the following rights (very brief explanation):

Within the first 30 days you have a right to reject the vehicle.

Between 30 days and 6 months the dealer has one opportunity to carry out a report. If the fault returns the you can insist on a replacement. If that isn’t possible then there is the option to reject the vehicle.
