Connection / Information apps for camper

Hello,

I wasn't quite sure were to raise this topic, or if this topic would be from interest. Anyhow, I started to use several apps to get information from the Grand California and not only to continue to use those apps on the Hymer but got even more.

What are the apps for? To gather information about various functions of the camper and the services. The communication is either via Bluetooth or wireless.

So, may I use this cold and misty winter afternoon to mentioned the apps I use, why and how? Let's start:

What for: To get the latest gas-level

Useful: Yes

What for: Information about the solar panels
Connection: Bluetooth
Useful: Yes
Used in Grand California: No
Reliable: 8/10
Recommendable: Yes
Notes: This app was installed by my dealer as part of the installation of the solar panels. I don't like the app at all. Too much information, not clear how much power is coming from the panels (well, at least not from me).

Notes: The app was installed by the dealer with the installation of the 2x 210Ah batteries. I don't like this app. I want to know how much power is left, out of the 2x batteries. But the information provided is not clear, at least to me. Still it is needed.

Notes: The app is very useful to get information about the Sprinter. Also it can be used to send Google Maps routes to the Sprinter which will be re-checked if this route is suitable for the weight and seize of the camper (how good or reliable this is I don't know yet, I guess I will know more after the summer holiday.

Notes: This app is interesting. So many settings can be checked or changed:

• Heater
• Boiler
• Lights
• Fridge
• Camper battery
• Vehicle battery
• 12V on / off
• Water pump on / off
• Level of fresh water
• Level of grey water

The next step is to think of how to get remote access to the Bluetooth apps. I think I will do some tests with a spare mobile phone. Connecting all the Bluetooth apps to the spare phone and use a support app to access the spare mobile phone with my phone (as if I had nothing else to do - well that is the advantage to be retired).

Let me know what you use, how reliable those tools are. Maybe I can add some more functions to my list.
