Connection of iPhone to media unit?

So the two USB-C sockets by the gear lever obviously charge stuff but is there a way to connect the iPhone to the head unit other than Bluetooth?

Don’t use BT.
It’s rubbish.
Just connect iPhone in on a C type usb.
Can’t remember which is which.
But ones 1, and tuther is 2.
You can swap between Apple car play on 2 iPhones when they both connected in

Bluetooth works fine but obviously flattens your phone.
You can connect two devices via those two usb sockets and stream
Music via one and use maps on the other etc.
Can also mix and match with one via Bluetooth & one connected by cable.
There’s a very handy brandrup pocket available that fits just in front of those sockets that holds a phone nicely and lets you use a 150mm connection cable.
