I have the control nob problem and am having no luck in contacting electronic equipment repair. I have phoned them on two different numbers and emailed them. Does anyone know of anywhere else that might supply the parts we need?

If no luck there, there are several on ebay. It's not an ideal solution but there will be a way.

@volksvans should be able to help you if you are near Derbyshire. Definitely worth a chat to Mark as he knows the California well. He's also on Facebook ...

Hi, I was out of the office and I'm now back. I don't sell the parts separately but we do carry out the repairs if you wish. Thanks,
Ed

Thank you, but I have now bought the part and had it fitted and all is well for the moment.

We've got replacement rotary controls now, after a bit of a shipping delay...

These controls eventually wear out and need replacement to avoid skipping up/down the menu when trying to press the button.

Please get in touch if you need this control fixed.
Hi there

I have an ongoing issue where the button needed replacing (which I have done with a non OEM version) but when put on top of the plastic housing that sits on top of the rotary control it stops being able to be depressed very quickly.

It’s almost like the plastic housing is sinking too far into the electronic board … but I can’t visually confirm this (probably due to my ineptitude).

Any thoughts come to mind ?

I’m considering buying the OEM fascia and button to see whether that resolves it ?

Thanks in advance

You'll probably find that the button you've fitted is slightly longer than the OEM button so remove it and file or sand off a millimeter or two until it's the same height as the OEM button.

Some of the 3D printed after market parts have the recess that slightly too long for the spindle and it allows the knob to bottom out and thus you loose the ability to press it in. It happens after a few operations. I inserted a small bit of hard plastic that I cut off something, think plastic fork, golf tee just a couple of mm liong into the knob before pushing on. This is enough to stop the button bottoming out.
