Just got my SE back from VW in Le Mans after they fixed auxiliary belt and replaced power steering pump.

Control panel had all kinds DS of flashing lights not it, I guessed due to being disconnected. Held the back button in to reset it and that seemed to fix most of it, except now when the engine is running the battery symbol bottom left displays a (G) .

The manual says something good like "power is being supplied from alternative battery" which I don't quite follow.

We have no other warning lights, dash and mfd are clear, can anyone explain what this means, is it bad?.

That is normal the g stands for generator it means it is charging from the alternator

Thanks that's great. I was worried it was something bad.

Now to see what we can salvage of our holiday.
