This thread on the French site says VW now (at last!!) supply a control panel knob replacement kit.

Good news. I suspect they'd be embarrassed to list it anywhere near cost (ie, about 2p).

But not as a VW part, it was the german 3D printed version, same as in the club shop here I believe. Now there is a real VW part: 7E7998453, according to the french thread.

This “ not fit for purpose “ knob situation been going on for so long isn't it about time they fitted the control unit with a knob that doesn't break?

Why do we let VW get away with type of shoddy product?

Tried to order one today to be told that part number is a repair kit. €430 euros
