Control Panel Knob replacement hasn't fixed menu selection issue

Hi, I'm hvaing the usual issue with the menu selection jumping around, so I duly bought the replacment knob and fascia from campervan bits (didn't stint - went fo the £68.99 option) and had it replaced at my local garage, however it hasn't fixed the issue and I'm still having trouble with the menu selection not scrolling the way it should.

Has anyone got any further advice on what this could be and what I should do?

They may have tightened the little torx screws too much this can cause this.
