What if no acceptable fix? Do you cancel, etc? It's a list of who is affected, orders count the same as if it's sat at the dealer as the person ordering is relying on the vehicle being delivered in a reasonable timescale. Consumer law is based on a product being fit for purpose & delivered.

My dealer says the car is on hold at D’Ieteren import in Brussels. How can I know this for sure? Another dealer told me ‘your car is probably still in Germany’... How do you all know the building time? I ordered in may ‘17 and delivery was planned for 30/11/2017!! Monday is planned time +25% (spare time in order contract); so now I ‘ll ask the dealer for a new date to count on. Compared to you all I am waiting the longest time???

How can a car thats not even build cause emmissions ?
Where do they fill up , Tesco or premium brands?
If it's a list of Cali's orderd and not yet deliverd the title needs change , it's about making a list with Cali's on hold due the emmission problems ...

It's obvious that if they don't change the software or modify the car in any other way all cars built after the date they discovered the emission problem will suffer the same problem.. If it can be solved with software update there is no reason to delay the building of cars on order maybe but if they have to change parts it is another story.
The building and delivery date they give is not very reliable. On the website https://www.myvolkswagen.be (I am in Belgium) even today there is a page with the status of my order as follows
ordered :28/10/2015, in production :3/3/2016, estimated delivery:2/3/2016. Even VW cannot deliver a car before it is built .. The car is actually delivered 17/2/2016 ..2 weeks before it went in to production.

Went on live chat today to see if there was any news on our 150ps manual California Ocean (build week 49 - 4th December - built and held at factory). Imagine how shocked I was to be told by Ismahil that my confirmed build week is week 7 - 12th February!!! No record on the system of my original vehicle. No communication received from VW or dealer. Seems to have vanished into thin air!!! What IS going on???

If it is the case that your manual is to be replaced with a DSG, and you are happy with that, you might just have a tactical advantage in negotiating freebees from VW.

Make out that DSG is the last thing you wanted, but that you would settle for [a five year service package, an extended warranty, a bike rack, £500 in California Club Shop discount vouchers] delete as appropriate, by way of compensation.

Yep, delivered before it was manufactured! Time travel has been achieved by VW but not perfected, otherwise dieselgate and other misdemeanours would have been 'corrected'!

It would have been more impressive if it was delivered before you ordered it!!!!!
