What vehicle do you have ?Does anyone have a heater that works on another level then max and doesnt shut down if you set it to anorher level?

Thanks for the clarification, it Sounds like the temperature sensor only takes a reading intermittently.I think part of what the OP is referring to is why, when you select a lower setting, does the unit completely switch off only to restart (at the new selected temp setting) ten minutes later.
Mine does it. It’s bloody annoying. Even reducing from say 6 to 5.
Yes. It's the fuel pump for the Heater.what is the noise of your gas heater? mine makes a clicking sound. like a motor running on very low RPM, something like 3hz frequency (~180RMP). it's not very loud, but noticeable while sleeping. is it normal?
