Curious to know what this is and I can't see it in the online manual ( or maybe I've missed it). It's a white triangle and blue line as part of the speedo display. Is it connected to the Eco, Normal, Sport driving modes?

What is the small white triangle in my red circle on the speedo. It changes it's location over the course of a journey.

What is the blue line which rises and falls with the pressure on the gas pedal. Guess it's an economical driving assistant and it seems to work with the white triangle I mentioned above.

On mine, the triangle is the speed that I had set the crisis control to.

I don’t have a digi dash but I would guess it’s the set point for the cruise control. Assuming the cruise control has an ‘off’ an ‘on’ and a ‘resume’ somewhere on the indicator stalk I guess you might need to set that to ‘off’.

You can see there is no cruise control set, and no previous set figure to resume:

isn't the blue line the current mpg/ fuel usage, it changes depending on throttle position, mine does not have the triangle though

I believe that shows the posted speed limit for the road you’re on, or at least what the vehicle thinks it is. In this case 80 Km/h

I thought that, but then what's the 110 road sign next to the compass direction?

My programmer brain says it's using the speedo values /10 for display of the fuel consumption of Avg 7.8 l/100km. Because it's near the 80mph notch.

I don't know the answer, but l bet l know a man who will. Over to you WelshGas!

Thanks folks for info up to now... It's on a T6.1 Edition Beech. All steering wheel controls, nothing on the indicator or light stalks except intermittent wiper setting.

No idea but as said above ? Fuel economy. My electronic dashboard is totally different.

Anything in the Handbook?

Not that I can see. I did the RTFM in the online manual in the Digital Instrument section, settings and Driver Aids. No mention at all. The blue line seems to operate like the vacuum gauges of old. The more you put the foot on the gas, the further clockwise it moves in real time.

So a visual indicator of Fuel Consumption?

I guess so. Keep to the left of the white triangle is more economical, past it, using more diesel. What sets the point for the white triangle is probably witchcraft as it's not in the same place each drive.

Could be the Mean and the Blue the Actual?

There should be an average speed reading somewhere. Could that be what the triangle is trying to indicate?

The right hand cluster is set to "Consumption" and the whole circle, including the outer ring display that.

The centre of the circle is your average litres used per 100KM of fuel. (l/100km - it's an L not a 1).

So 7.8 L per 100 "since start". This seems to reset each time or if you stop and do not switch off and don't move for 2 hours.

The outer ring is a VW engineers idea of how you want to see that. The middle mark is 10 and the bottom 0 and the top 20. It's 0 - 60 when set to MPG.

Which way around it is I don't know but one (line or the pointer) will be the average for the trip and one the current.

I agree with Welshgas. Even without the digital display of average consumption, you can see in this way whether you are using more or less than the average consumption up to that point and are therefore driving economically. If you drive economically long enough the white triangle will move to the left . I find it really useful .

is is visual indicator of Fuel Consumption. middle gap is 10l/100km. blue line is your consuption atm and triangle is your average
