Do unconfirmed build dates tend to change much?

In my experience (sample size of 1 !) I started at provisional week 4, then week 8, currently week 7. Need to call the dealer again soon to see if it has moved again, or now got a confirmed build week.

The VW build status codes are as follows:

00 = Assigned to factory order no production week scheduled
10 = Factory ordered with production week scheduled
20 = Factory ordered production week confirmed
30 = In transit from factory
36 = Vehicle in port of exit – not released
38 = Vehicle in port of exit – released to shipping
39 = Vehicle on ship
40 = Vehicle arrival at UK port
60 = Dispatched to Dealer
70 = Vehicle arrived at Dealer

The week no. is missing in the note from the dealer. Suggest you ask the question of him. "What is the week number?"

Wow! That's going to be nip and tuck with good helpings of luck to get your new Cali registered before April 1st. Try and get your dealer to chase up for a VIN number as soon as yr Cali is built (it takes two weeks I am told) so he can try and register yr vehicle as soon as the law permits. Good luck!

It was around 24th Nov, but dealer didn't submit to VW until very last day before price increase - 30th Nov I think

Checked again today and I've moved from unconfirmed wk15 to wk14. If I can come in another 4-5 weeks might just get the cheaper VED.

Mine (week 48 in 2016) was confirmed 4 weeks before.
