New T6.1 order delays

We ordered an Ocean early November and have just been told it's build week is 9th January, which is a shock as I wasn't expecting it until around May

What do think the timescale of it arriving in the UK? I'm worried the funds won't be in place in time.

Typically around 2 weeks in production and 5-7 week’s delivery. Can be sooner, can be later.

Yes, how dare these newbies come on this thread and dilute the indignation of those who had to wait more than a year for the delivery of their new family member.

That is exactly the point!

But I do think it would be easier for them -the ones with one tenth of some of our our waiting times- to discuss their concerns in a topic that doesn't have the word delay in the title.

My Ocean has been in build since 15th August (17 weeks). They say it has been held up because of a shortage of parts.

2 years waiting, now Buzz has arrived

Finally, after initially cancelling our first order, then waiting over 13 months we now have our Cali, which we’ve named Buzz. This is him after 2 weeks of ownership and trips to Leighton Vans and #DetailedbyDale for a few bits and pieces. I’ll post some more pics but so far we are extremely...

Finally collected our Beach camper from Breeze Poole last weekend. One year and one week from ordering! FYI it went in to production in May and took over 20 weeks to complete due to the well publicised supply issues.

It’s the ABT splitter, VW sidebars and 18” Terasina wheels. The wheels are only temporary as we’re waiting for a set of 20” silver Tridents to arrive.
We’re very happy with the look

Good question! I doubt it as resale value of alloys is low due to the vast number of them for sale.

We’ve paid for the Tridents already so anything we get for the Terasinas will be a bonus!

I ordered this morning, take delivery next week & even thats too long a wait.

You can't beat a van thats in stock, it saves weeks of worry about whether the spec is right.

I'm afraid so. I loved it, it was great to drive & brilliant for camping in.

Due to a change in work commitments I've only done 150 miles since June in it. I had semi retired in February but was persuaded back to full time work for another year or so.

For the 5 weeks I actually used it, it was perfect, for the other 47 weeks its sat in the way on the drive.

So I'm back to an Ocean which is far better for the 47 weeks but less good for the other 5.

Rapid Delivery! We were more fortunate than you @Marty Beach UK , our Beach Camper with many extras that we ordered in September 2022, arrived 3 months and 1 week from order placement. This will undoubtably mean that used prices will ‘realign’. Why buy an expensive used Cali when you can get exactly the specification that you want within 3 months and with a very good discount?

I think that some of the people selling used Calis on this site will have to ’realign’ some of their unrealistic asking prices.

We were very relaxed about our wait. 12
months was the estimate which proved to be pretty spot on. The delays seemed to be very spec dependent. We had nearly every option on ours (literally) and it only takes one thing to be on back order to delay things.

Prices will be what they’ll be as well. We’ll be holding on to ours for many years so aren’t worried.

Did that come in at list or could you negotiate a lower price ..?

Just wondering if the market is softening with less delays on factory builds, vans in stock and cost of living increases.
