Document Wallet

We got our new California Ocean in September last year. The owners handbooks only came in a white cardboard box.
No leather look type document wallet to keep them in. Which i thought was rather cheapskate for such an expensive vehicle.
Did we miss out or is this normal VW cost cutting.

They switched to the cardboard sleeve sometime in the 1st half of 2024.

Fortunately I still have the document wallet from my previous Ocean, so will use that.

Same on my newly purchased Multivan Hybrid, BUT, it also has a very good , searchable Digital Handbook in the VW Manager app on my phone that is part of the We Connect system and a Digital Handbook as one of the sections on the Multivan In Car Head Unit.
Do you not have that capability in the VW app and Head Unit?

Don't think there is anything on the head unit.
Though I have the VW app on my phone. I will have a look thanks. Though I still think it was very tight of VW not to provide a reasonable home for the included manuals over and above a cheapo thin cardboard pouch.

Mine just gets in the way. Much prefer to use the online searchable version in the "California" app.

Got a virtually new Document folder from Ebay.
Sorted.
