Durance valley in early July...recommendations gladly received

Thinking of staying in the Durance valley when on our July trip. Never been to this area of France before, so Campsite recommendations and travel options will be most welcome.

No replies. I'm amazed. Embrun is worth a look but it's a great area generally, but I just love the Alps winter and summer. Plenty of sites south towards Castellane in the Verdun as well.
I'll dig out some maps and get back to you.

Thanks very much. Was starting to think no one had been there! Thinking of staying in Vallouise or Ailfroide for some walking.
