Just brought the DB power compact portable Dvd player with tilt screen on it, off amazon 59.99.

It's OK but the volume is terrible , has got headphone 3.5mm plug connection on it.

Was wondering if could connect to vehicle speakers ? If so and how what connectors / connections are needed .

Or this there a wired additional small speaker could buy with volume control on the actual speaker?

The power for the dvd is via 12v cig lighter socket .

There is 230 volts mains also , but manual says only charger the battery , must be un plugged when watching dvd. An 12 v only used.

See below for dvd player had today, volume on max can't hear it 3 feet away , item below the speaker on amazon would that cure problem ? Not sure if speaker has volume control at the speaker ? Not ordered it yet , advise welcomed please.

I wonder if you can feed audio into the VW system using the USB-C input and the VW system would see it as a Media input?

If such an input does work, you would need an adaptor to take the audio output from the 3.5mm headphone connector and feed it into the USB-C connection.

A quick bit of Googling would suggest that most of the cheap USB-C to 3.5MM jack adaptors won't work to take an INPUT from the 3.5mm Jack and OUTPUT to the USB. These types of adaptors are designed to play USB output through headphones.

But something like this might work :

Or an expensive Sonos adaptor :

You would also need a 3.5mm to 3.5mm extension lead to allow you to place the DVD player where you want in the Cali.

The big unknown for me is if the Cali system will accept an audio input through the USB-C socket. Hopefully someone else can confirm this, or not!

If you could connect to the speakers , the Infotainment system will shut down after 30 minutes powering down the speakers
