Tried searching but no real answer. For daily travel, I keep the fresh water tank empty, only filling up for a camping trip. However, I leave the 907 gas cylinder in place in its slot. Will its weight affect MPG ? Or should I remove it for daily use ?

In a word no.
A full 907 is 6.42kg the rest of the van weighs about 2500kg so its effect would be minuscule - it's about the same weight as a gallon of diesel.

Probably carrying a gas cylinder might be responsible for 0.000000001 decrease in your mpg over many miles . I think weather variation would have a larger effect as well as incorrect tyre pressures or road conditions.
Obviously any increase in vehicle weight will have an effect but in a 3000 Kgm vehicle it would be difficult to measure any effect in the real world.

Many thanks - I can now relax …

Thanks - helps me put it in perspective

The water tank holds 30 litres = 30Kg so not huge in the scale of things - we tend to leave some in there all the time, you never know when you might need to wash your hands or shower the dog! Just be careful to not let it freeze.
