When I’m on a campsite connected to the electric hook up and I shut the sliding door it locks and unlocks, the child lock button lights up and the dash board wakes up. By the third day if I haven’t driven the van I get a warning saying the engine battery is low. Also recently the sliding door locks about a second after the front doors lock when I press the remote. Anyone else had something similar?

Hi @DarrylRogers and welcome to the forum.

To mitigate your issues, have you tried selecting ‘camping mode’ on the overhead display? That ‘should’ sort out the dash lighting up, not sure about the side door locking/unlocking. Also put the headlight switch to ‘0’ to avoid headlamps coming on.

When you lock the van, a short time (1-2 seconds) after the door locks operate, the SAFELOCK system (deadlock) clicks on. It might be this you’re noticing.

If the engine battery is showing a fault (low) after 3 days being stationery, I’d say you need to monitor the voltage. It’s sounding like either you have a big power drain, which needs further investigation, or the battery is at end of life. Try getting a plug-in voltage display and slot it into the cigarette lighter socket so you can monitor conveniently.

Here’s a useful post about battery condition….
