Embarrassing Question...

Call me stupid but how do I unlock the freshwater tank lock? Lol, I don't seem to be able to turn the key around...

Put key in lock.

1 quarter turn to left without turning filler cap.

Take key out.

Turn filler cap to left to undo

I can't turn the key without turning the cap itself... It's just like it's the wrong key. But it isn't cuz when I bought it the previous owner opened it without a hassle

Check it's not the wrong key.

I was going to storm off to the dealers a few days ago to demand that my "dodgy" key is replaced when after twenty minutes I realised I had been using the safe key

I've had that where turning the key to the left just turns the cap. Normally a fiddle with the cap, turning it a full turn right, then holding it whilst using the key, worked,.

Just tried the sparekey and it worked like a charm. Guess the other key has deformed or something.

I am pleased you figured this out, otherwise the answer would be to fill the safe with water.

Now you got the right to be embarrest....


Tip : allways double check if you put the cap correct back on by turning it arround and giving it a pull.
It is common they do not always go easyly back on and then pop out while driving , ending up buying a new.
Thats why they sell it in the forum shop
