Any tips for euro trip with a 10 year old dog? We did French Alps Annecy area May last year and loved it, but the wee dog can’t do as many miles walking now. We were thinking either overnight ferry to Santander and route back via west coast France. Or Alps via Germany and back through France. Any dog friendly recommendations for either route appreciated, or tips re the dog friendly ferry cabins to Santander. Thanks

Took a great trip via Reims then Provence, dog friendly ferry to Corsica, small 15 min ferry to Sardinia, dog friendly ferry to Civitavecchia in Italy and back through Switzerland via Italian lakes no issue with anywhere with the dog, even a decent walkies area on the Italy ferry and a dog welcome pack, used aferry app/ booked direct with ferry companies. Booking dot con has a pets option and every place we ate at had zero dog issues hence we stopped asking

Like the idea of some ferry trips off Italy. We also did Reims and loved it, very dog friendly. Thanks for recommendations.

If you're doing Santander, then Brittany Ferries to do dog friendly cabins (and they're as nice as a non dog one). The West Coast route back up to either St Malo or Cherbourg is also an amazing drive, and some amazing places to visit - plenty of dog friendly sites en route too.

I think you have to book the dog friendly cabins pretty far in advance, not many available.

The Tunnel is of course excellent for dogs, first class service and very friendly.
