I am looking for lowish profile roof bars to carry the roof box with kitesurfing kit for Croatia and like the look of the Yakima flushbars. Also seem to be well priced. Been advised that the S9YB (115cm) bar and the K450W kit is suitable for the California. Anyone a user out there?1626856467347.png

I have the Yakima/Whispbar through bars as gives slightly more width (handy if you ever fit roofbox + boards side by side using the T tracks slot on the top of the roof bars). Have had them for years can recommend.

You just need the T-track fitting, the supplier will be able to tell you the correct kit.

Hello,
How did you get on with S9YB bar and the K450W kit on your Cali? Just bought an T5.1 SE and trying to figure which Whispbar flush fits.
Thanks,
Adi

K450w is the correct fitting kit, but would recommend the through bars as gives you more load area.

Thanks for the tip.

What length/part number for the through bars?

Reason I was looking at the flush is that I have a pair of 1200mm through bars to hand that I used on my golf and was looking at converting them to flush for use on my Cali. Seems more difficult than anticipated as can’t buy the flush legs as a stand alone item and the flush and through bars have different cuts for attachment points.
Cheers

We have 2 sets of bars (other bars were from another car) 150cms + 134cms,They both fit a Cali, to give you an idea of width. 150 allows for a skinny roof box + SUP side by side.

Photos show the 150cm bars with feet, have also measured the distance between the feet, to give you an idea if your 120 idea might work (looks to be 123cm from outside edges of each feet, so if this measurement is the same they should fit).

Ours were up for sale, but a courier works out expensive as the boxed length is over 150cms, so took the listing off and they are now enjoying a peaceful life in the garage!

Roofbox.co.uk sell the individual parts so worth dropping them an email, but can work out expensive versus buying the complete set - and selling your old golf bars.

Cheers for the photos and detail Ch1pbutty.

Here’s a couple of pics showing the difference between flush and through bars. Note the extra slot on the flush bar.
Will give Roofbox a shout in the morning but getting prepared to flog the Golf bars and fittings.

It’s soft aluminium, so easy to drill a line of holes (or looks like you only need one small pilot hole, and then 1 screw to hold). I have done it before with Thule bars…the night before leaving for holiday!
