Not sure where this should go in the Forums, hope that this is ok.
I have booked to take the Cali to the Isle of Wight ( to do the Walk the Wight), cost £58.

I have Also just booked to take the Cali to France on 2 July, back on 27th. Cost after scouring the web, Dover to Calais, only £74 with DSDF which is the new name for Norfolk Lines.
I've used Norfolk before, they are truck ferries really but very good.

Other operators were offering £170 (P&O) and LD Lines were£205. All trips at a reasonable time..10.30 going, 1.30 coming home.

Just thought that might help any one going over this summer

Don't Brittany ferries go from Poole?

We like Dover to Calais because it is about the shortest trip, 90 minutes I think. So it's not too boring, you don't have to pay for a cabin and all the other things you have on a long sail. And we have an aged parent so if we have to return in a hurry there are plenty of boats at Calais. It does take us 2 hours to get down there from here but that's fine, might take longer from Chichester though!

I like Brittany Ferries from Poole to Cherbourg. Sailing to from Poole Harbour makes me smile with Old Harry's Rocks and Sandbanks to look at.
