First silly question.....

Hi,

Just bought my first California (2008) after having a home converted VW Transporter for the last 6 years and LOVE it. Picked it up yesterday at 10am and spent all day in it, almost slept in it last night but my wife thought I was nuts as the weather in South Wales was crazy for a change

So here's my first of many silly questions:

If you use an additional mattress topper/cover on the upstairs bed, do you need to remove it when the roofs down or can you store it up there when driving?

Hi welcome along mate. I would say no to closing the roof with a matress topper up there
They don't reccomend you leave anything up there even bed linen. I find the upstairs bed more than comfy without anything on it

Same here we usually sleep upstairs and find it comfy enough without a topper.
We leave the windscreen and front door blinds up there when we lower the roof but certainly wouldn't leave anything bigger up there

We tested it (cautiously) with our mattress topper but the roof wouldn't close fully. So, agree it needs to be stored separately.
