Had a flat battery and got going with jump start - however the central control panel is ‘blank’ so can’t use any van functions - lights roof fridge etc

Any insight to this ? - is this usual after a jump start - any fix

Have you ran the van out for an hour or two to get everything fully back up to charge?

Thanks - ran for about 30 mins - not an hour -

Just seems odd - feel like issue may be related to the flat battery

need to set the time/date before it will work.

So the engine battery was flat. What about the Leisure Batteries?

It might be worth plugging the vehicle into EHU for 12-24 hrs.

Thanks - far as I know leisure batteries ok - Mm but on reflection could be low as had not driven van for about 4 weeks

Noted re EHU

I just took my California to the VW dealer because my screen went blank. It a one year old used one and I only got it 2 weeks ago.

They said it was due to leisure batteries being low and when they looked it was working. Sounded suspicious to me and I thought the screen may have had a fault.

But after a day long charge all seems OK now.

Hithere , had the same problem on a 2020 cali beach. Both batteries were dead after 4 weeks. I jump start (big mistake) and everythings worked... but the central camper screen. Long story short: screen was dead, I assume it was because of the jump start, I had to replace it in VW ( no warranty after 2 years) and the joke was around 850 € including 1 hour manwork. I hope its not the same for you.
Good luck mate

You need to put a booster pack on the battery behind the driver seat (or the passenger seat in the UK)

Wow - Yes tried various suggestions - driving for hour or so re set time / date disconnect battery etc but still no joy

Do feel like the flat battery / jump has something to do with it - thought mbe even just a fuse
Short is I’m booked in to VW for a diagnostic - interesting to see cause / fix !

Thanks
