France speed cameras

Just a word of warning the French are bringing into use around three hundred more mobile cameras.
These will be in unmarked vehicles and can check speeds in both directions. Mainly to be used on the Routes Nationale roads.

Thanks, but it won't worry me, I'm more of a slow lane man now.
But don't forget also to disable the speed camera warning on the SatNav. I think that they can do you for that whatever speed you are doing.

Yes they can. Worst is they can impound the vehicle. Bit over the top

Well, can they really ?
Never heard of anybody being annoyed by this policy (that is not completely in place for the moment anyways). How could they check your phone for example as it's obviously something totally private....
