Fuses

I'm thinking of getting a California Beach. Today the fuse on my cigarette lighter has gone in my VW Golf. Got me thinking about all the extra equipment running in the California sockets. Are the fuses easy to access and replace yourself? I seem to remember there is an option which might make getting to the electrics easier. Is it worth choosing this option?

Fuse are very easy to replace in a Cali , all you need is hands the size of a 5y old
