Gas bottle question

Our Cali has arrived.....a good few weeks early

Am I right that when you take your gas bottle in to be refilled, they give you a replacement bottle rather than fill your own bottle, in which case why buy a new bottle....wouldn’t a second hand one be better?

Yes you are right. Get a second hand one doesn't matter what condition as it will be swapped for a refill.

I bought mine from eBay. £20 and I have had it all year, still going strong.

Do check that it has the little blue plastic handle piece that screws into the brass outlet on top of the bottle. Some of the exchange people won't accept the empty one without it or will charge you for a replacement handle.
